Christmas memories

My foul mood has lifted like a fog and replaced with a ridiculous amount of sunshine streaming through my window.
OK, so maybe I'm not sunshine, but there is a ton of it outside my window.  Can I just say that it was 16 degrees on Monday.  And now it's 60.  At 7:30 in the morning, on Christmas eve.  Can I just say there is something terribly wrong about that?  But also awesome because I have to pick up a ton of crap at the construction site and frankly I haven't wanted to because I don't seem to own any gloves.
Last night I made my pasta, and sadly, it didn't turn out as I had hoped.  But MIL ate it without complaining, so I guess that was a success.
Tomorrow, I will see my mom for the first time in two years.  I almost saw her once.  My hubby spotted my step-dad in Target and we ran.  Funny story.  We were walking towards the electronics to see if any Wii's had come in when he spotted him and we left.  Right then.  About a month later, my sister said something about my mom's Wii.  Apparently she happened upon one at Target (my Target-we don't live in the same town).  She got my Wii!!!
So, tomorrow will be strange.  I just want it to be over.  I don't want to deal with her.  She will try to be all, "everything is fine despite the fact that we haven't spoken in two years" and I'm going to be all, "leave me alone, I don't care if it's Christmas."
If you haven't read my blog before, you might think I'm being harsh.  Read this before you pass judgement.
